I have been very concerned over the past few weeks by the absence of both Chickadee species and Red-breasted Nuthatches at my backyard feeders. I’m in the Seattle area not far from the Arboretum. I’ve been happy to see lots of House Finches, Golden-crowned Sparrows, Song Sparrows, and an occasional Spotted Towhee. But I hope the chickadees and nuthatches will come back!
