Dear Dennis, Cheasty Greenspace does not harbor many Chestnut-backed Chickadees, compared to Black-capped. The habitat is dense riparian woods with cleared-off areas decimated by developers building a mountain bike trail through the North Loop.
Nevertheless, Chestnut-backed Chickadees do occur here - and probably breed.
I'm not sure if we can detect a pattern, but here are our numbers for 2024 so far:
