Hi Everyone!
Today Unice Chang, Edward Rooks, Carlos Mendoza and I led a SCVBA field trip to Los Gatos Creek CP. We were able to find a nice variety of ducks - Cinnamon Teal, Gadwall, American Wigeon, Mallard, Ring-necked Duck, Bufflehead and Ruddy Duck. We also enjoyed the Spotted Sandpiper along the dam under the pedestrian bridge, lots of Green Herons, a Snowy and Great Egret side-by-side, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and a fly-by Red-shouldered Hawk preceded by lots of warning calls from chickadees and other small birds. We were unsuccessful in finding a Wilson's Snipe (I swear I had one on Sunday) and the American Bittern.
