Comments: Though not a particular good waterfowl flight there were some interesting numbers and species recorded. Highlights were a distant westbound, Red-necked Grebe and an American Woodcock crossing the lake from Canada. Waterbirds recorded: Mallard 7Green-winged Teal 4Ring-necked Duck 51Scaup species 33Surf/Black scoter 2Bufflehead 2Common Goldeneye 2Hooded Merganser 9Common Merganser 144 (about 130 in one flock)Red-breasted Merganser 17Horned Grebe 39RED-NECKED GREBE 1Dunlin 30AMERICAN WOODCOCK 1Red-throated Loon 10Common Loon 2Loon species 5Double-crested Cormorant 37 Other birds along the lake: Bald Eagle 2Merlin 1
