Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Returning Painted Redstart for 6th year, Palm Warbler
The Painted Redstart at the Tierrasanta substation on Tierrasanta Boulevard was finally refound today by Robert Patton, following several failed attempts by yours truly, making it now 6 years that the bird has been returning to that site for the winter. Please refrain from blasting recordings at it.

The Tierrasanta Hepatic Tanager continues on private property, but so far I've been unable to find where it is roosting at night. Probably best for people who want to see a male to try for the bird in Wing Street Canyon.

This morning, I had a new Palm Warbler in the extreme northeast corner of Fort Rosecrans Cemetery, generally associating with a few Yellow rumpeds and a couple kinglets.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
