The last of the fall migration bird walks at Ft Harrison State Park, Indianapolis, held on Oct 27, finished with 38 species. Not many highlights as songbird migration is winding down. One highlight was two flocks of Double-crested Cormorants, a species that is only seen as a flyover at the park. The complete list is below.
This was the last of the 2024 bird walks I will lead at Ft Harrison. I plan on resuming bird walks in April and May, 2025. Many thanks to everyone who came out to join me for the walks in 2024.
