Late this morning D.J. Nyochio and I found a Winter Wren at (in) the edge of the dried-up pond at Sandy Beach (Shannon Beach) in Winchester. It was jip-jipping among a pile of branches at the back (grassy) side of the pond, seen well, and later heard nearer the bridge. -An unexpected sighting at this location.
