Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Scarlet Tanager at FRNC
Sunday morning, there's a female type Scarlet Tanager (gray-brown wings with no black) going all over Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Around 7:15 or soon Thereafter it was in the single eucalyptus tree along the main road near the south end of the cemetery and then flew out heading north, and then what is presumably the same bird I re-encountered near 8:00 a.m. at the extreme northeast corner of the Cemetery! Where feeding in the large dense ficus trees on the berries.

Yesterday, there was a "Gray-headed" Dark-eyed Junco in the TRV Community Gardens and an adult dark-lored White crowned Sparrow at Camp Surf. A male Costa's,l hummingbird in Tierrasanta.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
