In this part of the state we have drought conditions.  We're 8 inches below normal rain amounts, so the most activity I've been seeing is around the waterfall and in the bird baths in the yard. There are several sparrow species in the bottom fields, including Lincoln's, swamp, Savannah, white-throats, and of course song, but it's been difficult getting them out in the open. We've had several frosty mornings, but not enough to tamp down the plants in those fields. Ruby-crowned kinglets, robins, and palm warblers were the most interesting things I saw in the fields today. However, today was also the first time I saw small flocks of juncos in openings in those fields and also in the driveway where I spread white millet. But there was some good activity from 5-6 pm tonight in the back yard, specifically near the waterfall. Yellow-rumped warblers and purple finches came in to drink along with titmice, chickadees, nuthatches, and different woodpeckers. Also in the back yard there are trees along the edge of the yard and one is a 35-ft tall walnut tree that's already completely devoid of leaves. Currently every night robins land in it before flying off in a westerly direction. But tonight three bobolinks, species I haven't seen in several years here, landed in it before flying off. They were then followed by a small flock of cedar waxwings. And  also tonight for the first time this fall a few white-throated sparrows fed on the millet on a rock near the waterfall, and they were then joined by an adult white-crowned sparrow..So I guess I can't complain about anything.
