Weather: Unseasonably warm day with the temperature at the park reaching 81°F. Another day of deep blue sky and zero clouds making difficult viewing conditions. Light west winds turned south in the afternoon.
Raptor Observations: A few turkey vultures moving through in the afternoon but not much else. The big unknown is how many were missed due to the dreaded deep blue sky.
The usual local raptors were out: BE, TV RT
Non-raptor Observations: A Monarch butterfly was spotted on this summery day.
Predictions: More of the same tomorrow with warm temperatures and south winds- 15% clouds are predicted which would be an improvement if it happens.
A cold front is predicted to move through Wednesday night with lower temperatures and north wind on Thursday but, once again, minimal, if any, clouds. ======================================================================== Report submitted by David Eberly (<david.eberly...>) Rose Tree Park information may be found at: www.rtphawkwatch.org
