- Comments: "34.472613 -120.227913. On cable fence between the campground and the stream. Loosely associated with Cassin’s Kingbirds. Bright yellow undersides extending up onto breast (more so than a Western Kingbird), transitioning quickly to whitish throat without gray on breast of Cassin’s. Brownish tail without white outer tail feathers and without pale tail tip; tail slightly forked. Bill much larger than other expected kingbirds, but not bulbous like the far less expected Couch’s Kingbird. The bird was silent. To my knowledge, this is the first report of this species at this location this year."

Blackburnian Warbler (Setophaga fusca) (1) CONFIRMED

- Comments: "Found in the north lot tipus, initially right up against Hollister and immediately east of the exit, and later in the northeast corner of the same lot. I thought this was on the brighter end for fall birds, so I would assume a bright adult female or an immature male. Wings were slate gray with two white wingbars. The mantle was streaked, while the nape and crown appeared uniformly gray. The auriculars were gray as well, with a pale crescent under the eyes and a pale yellow eyestripe. The throat and breast were also yellow, while the belly and undertail coverts were predominantly white. There was streaking on the flanks that fed somewhat onto the sides of the belly. The tail appeared somewhat broad, and the undertail, when folded, was white at the base and black on the edges. The bill was quite thin, and I thought average or possibly slightly above average length for a warbler. The lower mandible was pale at the base with a black tip.
This bird foraged in the mid to upper canopy of the tipus. It did not appear particularly energetic for a warbler, and rarely if ever interacted with the other birds, although it did seem to be moving in correspondence with a mixed flock that included (though perhaps not always at once) TOWA, YEWA, OCWA, and YRWA."
