I can't add much to what has already been said. But having met Davis and spent some time with him was a joy. Whenever he met new people he made sure to get their names and their partners, and put it in a little book. He never seemed to need to reference it though, he knew everyone who he came in contact with. Such a kind and soulful gentleman. The birding community has lost a treasure.
