observation time: 4.25 hours

Official Counter: Craig Jackson

Observers: Bill Shapiro

Visitors:
Many hikers but only Michelle Swanson stopped for long to talk about the
watch

Weather:
Mild (1) West winds changed to WSW slightly increasing in speed at 12 Noon
when maximum gusts were 14 km/hr). Temperature went from 7-11° C. Cloud
cover again was 0% throughout the watch, which again made finding birds
difficult, especially since there were no strong winds to keep them low.

Raptor Observations:
Small movement in morning with all birds seen flying low (height 1).
Non-migrating -- surprisingly no identifiable RT were seen

Non-raptor Observations:
Birds -- 1 DC Cormorant, 3 Dark-eyed Juncos

Predictions:
On Sunday winds from the West will become stronger in the afternoon and a
similar pattern will take place on Monday with the strongest winds from the
West occurring in the afternoon.
On both days I will hopefully be on site in the afternoon.
After some easterly winds, Wednesday is predicted to have strong SSW, but
the most promising day appears to be Thursday when we will again have
strong NW winds
