Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Sweetwater late Bank Swallow, Greater White-fronted Goose
Early Sunday morning, a continuing concentration of feeding swallows in the early morning chill continues near the bottom end of Sweetwater Reservoir, but they seem to have shifted to primarily being along the shore and slope between the lake and the campground. This morning there is a late Bank Swallow amongst the hordes, as well as a fairly late Northern Rough-winged swallow. Other swallows present include about 250 Barns, 20 Trees, and 2 Violet-greens. At the top end of the lake, there is a continuing adult Greater White-fronted Goose.

Yesterday, the continuing, returning adult male American Redstart was at Seaport Village near the little pond, a continuing Plumbeous Vireo was in the cottonwoods at the far end of Lamar County Park near Lemon Grove, and there were three Vermilion Flycatchers at Holy Cross Cemetery In San Diego.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
