I was surprised to see two of these birds at my feeders today. Previous years they have appeared in November or later. Granted, birds migrate on their own schedule but I'm wondering if the devastation in western SC & NC has affected their food sources causing them to leave earlier. I would like to hear what our resident experts think of this possibility.
