Observers:

Visitors:
30, a good friendly crowd today. The first ones up were a father son duo,
who generously served hot fresh coffee, that hit the spot. I passed on the
donuts. One person looked at and even kept a copy of the hawk ID handout I
try to peddle.

Weather:
Another fine day, enough to allow me to stay a little later. A virtually
cloudless sky, some high thin clouds increasing in early afternoon, then
diminishing; steady light NE wind turning somewhat N/NE at 1:30; low 40's
to mid 50's.

Raptor Observations:
Another good steady movement of Sharp-shins. Yesterday when the 88th
Sharp-shin for the season was counted, Alton Bay topped last year's season
total. We have also topped last year's total for Bald Eagle, Osprey,
Northern Harrier, and American Kestrel. In fact, the first three have
reached all-time record high counts. This has been a good year at Alton
Bay.

Non-raptor Observations:
Not many Turkey Vultures around today but plenty of Common Ravens, a pipt,
Hermit Thrush, 15 Yellow-rumped Warblers, and Purple Finch has been well
represented all week.

Predictions:
I will be back next week as weather permits.
