Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Tierrasanta Hepatic Tanager returns
The male Hepatic Tanager has returned to Tierrasanta for at least its sixth winter and quite possibly more. But as usual, it primarily frequents a private HOA park, so until I can figure out if it is using a roost site visible from a public street, there is no public access. But hopefully I will be able to do so at a later time. If such a site is found, I'll offer a public showing probably at some point in November. Please do not wander around and attempt to figure this out on your own until a true public site is available.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
