SB Birders,
The wind is starting to build at Gaviota and the gulls are stacking up on the pier and rafting just out side of it.
There were 5 Spotted Sandpipers, 8 Lawrence’s Goldfinch coming into drink and hitting the grassy areas.
The Painted and Lazuli Buntings still remain. After looking at the PABU I’m in the thinking this individual is a male due to its brightness and color tones that are beyond females.
The Lazuli looks more like a male too. If you have assigned a sex in your eBird reports regarding the buntings. Possibly leave it neutral, or assign as males. This will be good for the eBird reviewers.
