Made a slow circuit around NCOS this morning. Fairly birdy but only a few things of note. There were about 15 small shorebirds beneath the large bridge that included 2 Dunlin. Just above the bridge leading into the Devereaux Slough was a large concentration of egrets and GB Herons (50+) but I could NOT find a Western Cattle Egret among them. In the construction zone where the oil storage tanks (and lots of trees) have been removed was a Loggerhead Shrike. A Sora was foraging out in the open at the Phelps Bridge. A second (?) Loggerhead Shrike was seen in the fields across the water channel a bit past the bridge toward the entrance.
