Official Counter: John Weeks

Observers: Gary Adamson, Joan Lupacchino, John Weeks, Richard Nieman

Weather:
Hazy blue skies; cirrus cloud-cover never exceeded 15%. Wind NW, shifting
to WNW late, 6-12 mph with occasional gusts up to 18 mph. Temperature
59-63 F.

Raptor Observations:
Many birds were distant and obscured in haze; I was fortunate to have the
help lent me by three sharp-eyed observers, Rich, Joan and Gary, without
whom the count would have been lower by 50%. Turkey Vultures led the way,
passing singly, in pairs and in groups of as many as 19 birds. Still no
Golden Eagle yet. Not counted as migrants: Black Vultures 6, Bald Eagles
2 (adult + immature), eagle sp (that hurt), Cooper's Hawk.

Non-raptor Observations:
Canada Geese 944, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (juvenile), Blue Jays 8
(migrants), American Crow, Common Ravens 2, Black-capped Chickadee,
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, White-throated Sparrow, Palm Warblers 4,
Yellow-rumped Warblers 9.
