- Comments: "Observed from the trailhead, flew a few circles over the canyon before departing east towards the Romero Canyon area, as would be expected if migrating south. It circled briefly near to a larger red-tailed hawk providing a good visual comparison. Compact build, light underparts, banded tail, dark along outer wing and wingtips."
We were shocked to see that a bird being chased by a Parasitic Jaeger in the distance was an owl, eventually seen well and photographed to be a Burrowing Owl. No confusion species with good looks in the daylight."

- Comments: "Look what the solar flare dragged in… Large vireo with pale undersides, bold black lores, strong white supercilium, dark cap, longish bill, dark eye, weak yellowish wash on flanks, vent, and sides of neck, and greenish dorsum. Foraging in view for several minutes in mid to upper canopy of the trees above and upstream of the bridge, silent the entire time. Lifer and self found county bird #322!"
