Four of us enjoyed a cool, sunny, Autumn walk along the Nassau-East Greenbush section of the Empire Rail Trail. We encountered several large clusters of foraging White Throated Sparrows, with occasional Song Sparrows and a few Juncoes along with the usual mix of the common backyard birds.
We garnered 33 species for the morning. typical for an early fall morning.
