Subject: [sbcobirding] Scorpion
All,

I headed out to Scorpion to do my part of the Prisoners v Scorpion birding comparison. The highlight was a Dickcissel at the far end of the first campground. The same area held a GT Towhee, a Clay-colored Sparrow and a male Lawrence's Goldfinch. A Merlin and a Blue Grosbeak were elsewhere, along with 14 Chipping Sparrows. Other than sparrows, migrants were thin on the ground, with very few warblers and flycatchers.
