Subject: [sbcobirding] NCOS, Elings
This morning during a brief visit to NCOS, I saw 3 species of kingbirds at
Phelps Pond: Tropical, Cassin's, and Western.

Elings Park local interest: yesterday there were 2 Horned Larks, and a
Vesper Sparrow in the native section-- is this one of the birds that been
here for some time or a new one? Who can say. Yellow-rumped Warblers have
finally arrived with 8 in the fennel.

On Wednesday there was a Loggerhead Shrike, and a male and female American
Kestrel, in and around the native patch. Both these species have been in
short supply at the park for the past several years.
