Just a heads up: Vischer Ferry Preserve will be closed next week between Saturday, October 12 and Friday October 18 for duck hunting. So, plan your birding prior to that (or after). This has been a regular event for many years. Fortunately this doesn't include the trail between Ferry Drive and the VF Power Plant.
