All,
I spent a couple of hours here. There were a lot of birds here stacked up by the high tide but most of my birding was wiped out by dense fog that arrived about 15-20 minutes after my arrival. I had a Common Tern on the beach by the mouth. There was at least one Ruddy Turnstone in with the roosting shorebirds (I could not id the other turnstone), which included a record count of 184 BB Plovers. There were likely even more as it was hard to discern birds in the foggy conditions. A couple of times I head what sounded like a golden-plover call.
I had an excellent view of a Merlin. A Sharp-shinned Hawk also flew by.
