I had a Ruffed Grouse in Little Elk Creek Canyon, near Piedmont in Meade County, making it's way up small branches to get to, I think, wild grapes. I've not seen one this low in elevation before--maybe that's normal--I haven't birded in yonks. I have some terrible video if anyone needs to see it, but it did have a band on its tail, a small crest, and a square, not pointy, tail. This was about 1/2 mile in from the parking area.
