Official Counter: John Weeks

Observers: Gary Adamson, John Weeks

Weather:
Mostly cloudy, starting with a thin screen of cirrus and altostratus and a
few low cumulus clouds; cumulus clouds increased all through the watch (in
a pattern similar to that of yesterday's shifting cloud cover). Wind NE,
becoming ENE/E, 5-12 mph. Temperature: low to mid 60s F.
Raptor Observations:
A dozen migrants observed. The watch was cut short as we both needed to
attend to some errands. Not counted as migrants: 3 Black Vultures, 1 or 2
Turkey Vultures, 2 adult Bald Eagles, Cooper's Hawk, 2 Red-tailed Hawks.

Non-raptor Observations:
Canada Geese 46, Mourning Doves 3, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Northern
Flicker, Blue-headed Vireo, Blue Jays 77 (migrants), Common Ravens 19 (17
in one swirling group, plus a pair seen separately at the same time;
apparently not migrating yet), Black-capped Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse,
Ruby-crowned Kinglets 2, Eastern Bluebirds 2, Purple Finch, American
Goldfinches 4, Palm Warblers 5, Yellow-rumped Warblers 3.
