Last evening (Friday 9/27) a wave of warblers stopped to feed in the yard. Thirty three birds of 6 species all feeding on tiny black flies that inhabit a sapling elm and Dogwood tree. They started feeding around 3:30 pm and continued until almost dark. The attached photo is one of the Nashville Warblers checking the undersides of leaves for insects.
