Hi All, After very easily finding Eunice Schroeder's SAGE THRASHER at Ocean Park this afternoon (near gazebo) I stopped at Ryon Park on a whim but with a hunch it could be a decent spot. There's not a lot of understory but there are big trees and a nice variety of species including a few Eucs. The park was fairly birdy and had migrant warblers so I did a full loop. Ended up finding a nice mixed flock moving around a few trees near the main entrance. After working the flock a bit a PLUMBEOUS VIREO popped out. Got great looks but it flew into the tree and could not grab a photo. The bird eventually reappeared in the same spot but again eluded photos. After taking a break and meeting up with a friend we went back out but failed to relocate the vireo. We, however, were pleased to find a more cooperative BLACKPOLL WARBLER in the same tree in about the same location. A full checklist and more details here:
