- Comments: "continuing juv found yesterday by Lynn Scarlett. smaller overall and smaller bill than the BBPLs it was with, as well as darker plumage, which was especially noticeable in flight. dark cap contrasted well with white supercilium."

Noticeably smaller & darker than nearby black-bellieds. Golden-yellow accents to feathers. Kept nested behind some driftwood with its head tucked.
Moved down to just before 275, where the outflow normally is."

Seen twice at med to close range with bins under overcast skies. Hanging with big ground of BBPL"

- Comments: "Great find by Andy McGrath. Continuing in Eucs east of favored location yesterday about here (34.4353127, -119.8631764). Vibrant glorious golden yellow head and yellow body with bluish-black wings. Whitish between legs. White under Tail coverts. Tail dark with large white spots in outer rectrices. Tail tipped black. Large dark eye on plain face. Prominent black bill."
