- Comments: "Smaller lighter gray toned bird with lb Dow’s. Long bill
about 1/2 to 2/3 length of Dow bill. Red of breast was not orangish, more
brick red. Back was scaly with some dark spots. Birds very very far away
and using 40-50 power of scope. Birds flew and were unable to locate it.
Many small flicks of Dow’s around"

- Comments: "Yellowish wash on the underparts, whitish breast and throat,
brown upper parts, crested crown, medium sized, little larger than OSFL and
noticeably larger than the many vocal WWPE's. The bird was perched about 8
o'clock on a low hanging branch of a small oak just to the east of the dry
stream-bed. It flew off to the east and I couldn't relocated it and I never
heard it call."
