Again, is anyone from Portland area going down to Talent to see lingering California Thrasher, and would like some company? I’ll split expenses.

> - Comments: "Large male blackbird with very long, very broad, shovel-like tail which tapered to a smaller tip at the end in flight. Pale yellow iris evident in (poor) photos. I first saw the bird flying towards me from the NE over the pond at the Oregon Episcopal School. I immediately thought "grackle!" when I saw its long tail. It flew out of view behind the trees so I ran out to the sidewalk at SW Vermont/SW Nicol and saw it briefly perch in two tall trees at the Portland Golf Club. It then continued over the golf course to the SW out of sight, mobbed by three hummingbirds. I managed to get a few poor photos."
