Subject: Red Slough Bird Survey - June 12
It was partly cloudy, cooler, and windy on the survey today. 55 species
were found. The heronry on Pintail lake continues to grow including lots of
Little-blue Herons on nests now. Gallinule broods are hatching out and
Least Bitterns were really actively calling in unit 27b. Here is my list
