Tom Love caught a boo-boo in my post below. (Hate it when I do that.)

It should read: "The location is on Upper Island Rd, a mile SOUTH of the
4-way corner in the middle of the island."

Subject: Red-eyed Vireos at Grand Island

On June 4, Roy Gerig let me know that he'd found RED-EYED VIREOS at their
usual spot on Grand Island, south of Dayton. I was finally able to get down
there today and got to hear several birds.

The location is on Upper Island Rd, a mile north of the 4-way corner in the
middle of the island, in the tall cottonwood forest, at the white gate.
There is room to park 3 cars and a fisherman's trail leads through the woods
to the river. 45.112361,-123.033039

The birds usually arrive in early June. Bring a chair and sit in the shade
awhile.

Good birding, everyone,

Paul Sullivan
