10 Birders hiked Rocky Ridge Natural Area on the Standing Stone Trail for a State College Birding Club field trip led by Greg and Deb Grove.
31 species were noted.
Several visuals included Ovenbird, Scarlet Tanager, Red-eyed Vireo, Hooded Warbler, Acadian Flycatcher, Eastern Towhee.
This is great habitat for Worm-eating Warblers. Pine Warblers nest here as well but only 2 were heard.
We heard both Hooded Warbler songs and at one site heard countersinging.
