Subject: [ia-bird] Hudsonian Godwit at Hawkeye Wildlife Area
This p.m. I scoped a female HUDSONIAN GODWIT from Amana Road, just west of the Blain Cemetery Rd. intersection. At first it looked like a Marbled Godwit
from a distance and was rather plump, too. It payed off to give that pale godwit a second and prolonged scoping.

Shorebird habitat at the main pool is minimal now and into the foreseeable future but Round Pond had many peeps today and a few other shorebirds.
