Subject: [ia-bird] Northern mockingbird at East River Valley Park, Ames
Hello:

At 6:30 pm this evening, I observed a northern mockingbird singing at East
River Valley Park in Ames. The bird was found at the northeast end of the
park, within a thin line of trees (windbreak) that separates a fairly
extensive grassy area from the large agricultural fields. The grassy area
and tree line are immediately east of the freshly widened dirt trail, and
the tree line is located almost directly underneath the power lines.
