Subject: [ia-bird] Prothonotary Warblers - Chichaqua, Polk Co.
One to three singing Prothonotary Warblers were back at Chichaqua Bottoms
today. I think there were 3 singing, but they made some confusing
movements.

Other FOYs today:

Ledges SP, Story Co: American Redstart, Swainson's Thrush, Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, Gray Catbird, Nashville Warbler, Indigo Bunting. Not large
numbers, however, only one of each except 3 Grosbeaks. Also got overdue
Barred Owl and Pileated Woodpecker.

Red Feather Prairie: Baltimore Oriole, Eastern Kingbird. Couldn't find
any Henslow's Sparrows yet.

Friday at Ada Hayden had FOY Palm Warbler and Clay-colored Sparrow.

Good birding,
Tyler Grant
