Subject: [ia-bird] black-necked stilt
There was a black-necked stilt feeding in the second pond segment at Cardinal Marsh in Winneshiek County earlier this afternoon. This is the first black-necked stilt that I have ever seen there. Additionally, there is a pair of trumpeter swans nesting on the main marsh there. This is the first nesting attempt by trumpeter swans at Cardinal Marsh in the modern era.
