Subject: [ia-bird] Black-crowned Night-Heron @ Bacon Creek - Woodbury County 5/1
There was a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON at Bacon Creek in Sioux City over the
lunch hour. This is the first time I've seen this particular species
there. Also present: SWAINSON'S THRUSH (FOY), BROWN THRASHER,
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW (many), BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, FIELD SPARROWS
(vocalizing), EASTERN TOWHEE, RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET, and many YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLERS.

Still patiently waiting for warblers and vireos to show up in NW Iowa!!
