Subject: [ia-bird] Minimal shorebirds at Hawkeye

I surveyed mudflats at James Ave and Sandpoint at Hawkeye Wildlife Refuge (Johnson County) this am. Lots of great mudflats now, but only saw yellow legs for shore birds. There were a good number of foraging Bonaparte’s gulls, but nothing unusual. Best bird was a Vesper Sparrow near the Swan Lake Parking Lot.
