4/13/19, 4:30-5:20 AM -- Yard, Westport

A light drizzle brought flyover migrants to an appreciably low altitude this morning. There was a hefty and consistent movement, featuring (so far) 16 CHIPPING SPARROWS, 2 PINE WARBLERS, 5 great blue herons – seen against the sky, 4 PALM WARBLERS, 8 savannah sparrows, 1 FIELD SPARROW, and 1 white-throated sparrow. Increased precipitation has either stalled or quieted migrants.
