Subject: Birding Guilford Co NC
Greetings all.

After receiving my Needs Alert for Guilford Co showing three ducks seen yesterday that I didn’t see

So I decided to go back to Guilford Co again today and try to find them but I didn’t find a single one but I did find a pair of Common Mergansers at my first stop Townsend Lake Yanceyville Marsh along with Hooded Mergansers. After looking for 2 hrs I went to the Marina and looked for ducks there and then returned back to the Marsh where about 30 minutes later I found 3 RB Mergansers to make it all three species of Mergansers seen at a Piedmont Hotspot.

Even though I dipped on the other ducks I ended up adding 4 species for Guilford Co.
I added the Com Mergansers, RH Woodpecker, YR Warbler and a Winter Wren.

I will return when the Warblers and other song birds return to breed.
