Subject: [AK Birding] Kenai Flats Gyrfalcon 1/19
At 2 PM a gray morph GYRFALCON was perched upon the locked-up lower river ice of the Kenai River eyeing gulls and a few Common Goldeneye in the small ice-free leads opened up by the tidal action among the unconsolidated free ice nearby. It came and went like a phantom while we were there, and we were unable to refind it on the Flats later in the day.
