At least one Fork-tailed Flycatcher remains in Texas after an epic fall
flight of this species, most if not all pertaining to reverse migrants of
the Mexican and Central American subspecies *monachus*. A co-worker of mine
had TWO on private land near Arroyo City in Cameron County on 19 December.
There are also two lingering in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. Remarkable!
Here are the details on the Van Zandt County bird from Ed Wetzel:
" FM 47 in Wills Point, Texas at 32°44′6″ N 95°59′60″ W
NOTE: Because of complaints from land owner and the neighbors, most people
were told to leave by the Wills Point Police Dept around 3 pm
I’m putting this out there as advisory."
