*Yaquina Bay CBC - preliminary results*
Almost 50 volunteers participated in the 46th Yaquina Bay CBC yesterday.
Thirty-seven birders served on field teams and 12 more conducted
feeder/yard counts. Right now the total sits at 141 species for the day.
Rain was intermittent but overall the weather was in our favor and teams
spent their time outside until the last light of the day. You can't beat
the field hardiness of birders on the CBC.

The MAGNOLIA WARBLER, BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, and NORTHERN SHRIKE were all
relocated. Other species of note included RED CROSSBILL (2) which have
been largely absent from Lincoln County this winter, PALM WARBLER, SWAMP
SPARROW, SORA (2 different ones), and MARBLED GODWIT. A SNOW BUNTING was
picked up by Isaac Denzer on the north jetty.

Some misses for the day included PINE SISKIN and GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GOOSE and GREATER YELLOWLEGS.
