Dear Texbirders,

I agree with Fred’s assessment. There is no way to know if this bird is a hybrid if the visible and audible traits are of the parent type, which this bird appears to have. One should assign to the obvious parent type and researchers can use the eBird data from a known hybrid zone with that in mind.
