Subject: [MBBIRDS] Help IDing Sapsucker
Nice birding this morning at Bethany Curve between Alta and Plateau. Many
American (?) Goldfinches, Cedar Waxwings, Downy Woodpecker, Anna's
Hummingbird. Seemingly hanging out with the Downy Woodpecker was a
Sapsucker, with a strong vertical white bar on the wing, speckled back,
large red areas on crown and throat, distinct diagonal black line behind
eye and white line below eye. Can anyone help ID what kind of Sapsucker it
is?
