Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 12:00:00
Total observation time: 3 hours

Official Counter: Andrew Sturgess

Observers: Rosemary Brady

Visitors:
Two hardy souls made the trip from Northville but in vain.

Weather:
A day that held no promise and that promise was fulfilled with no birds. At
the center of a low pressure area with high winds blowing generally from
the SW with occasional light rain the conditions were not what migratory
raptors were looking for.

Raptor Observations:
The only birds that raised their heads were a few turkey vultures. Local
birds such as bald eagle and a kiting red-tailed hawk made appearances but
not for long.

Non-raptor Observations:
Horned grebe and common loon were observed out on the lake. Plenty of
distant ducks on Lake Erie, but too distant to ID.

Predictions:
Tomorrow will be a continuation of the transition from the low pressure
area to the high pressure with high winds. Hopefully, as the barometer
rises and the wind becomes more favorable the migration numbers will
increase.
